37 weeks!!
Baby is fully formed now and ready to come out into this world!!!
I'm getting really excited/ nervous/ apprehensive/ anxious/ worried/ happy.. and everything!
Can't quite believe that time has passed so quickly and motherhood is really round the corner.
All the sacrifices of a mum are starting to trickle in slowly.. starting with a lack of sleep.
Baby's photo in my womb is so clear through the scans these days that it's almost like taking a picture of him.
And naturally but oddly.. i find myself smiling at the picture even though sometimes his hand covers part of his face.
Together with the days passing by, cramps are also coming along.. they feel like menstrual cramps but there's nothing to be concerned about if the cramps do not come too regularly (like 5min apart).
Waiting for big day to arrive.. i wonder how it will feel.
Meantime, celebrating the birth of my niece who was born last night at 10.01pm singapore time, 9 nov 09, weighing 8 pounds and 8 ounces.

Kicking, turning, moving
Baby is so active!!! He kicks, he moves, he turns, he stretches his legs etc etc.. wow! Although acne has taken over my face but I'm still a happy mummy. Looking at the pics from Dr Chan's machine makes me look forward even more to the day he gets into my arms.
Another 6.5 more weeks to go to full term! I've already washed baby's clothes, towels, bedsheets, mittens & booties so baby will have a ready home when he decides to come out! The labor process is definitely something that is scary, mind boggling, terrifying even!!! But can't be help I guess.. it's all part of the package. Hopefully I'll be able to manage motherhood well, and be able to raise him up, with Kenneth of course, in a way that's pleasing to God.

active baby
baby kicked me last night at 1230am (i was online buying diaper bag for my sis and baby stuff for my little one).. figured that he was either telling me that he was expecting a bedtime story, or that i need to sleep because it's too late!!
haha, it's amazing what makes me smile these days.
looking forward to seeing dr chan this friday :)

Week 25 and a half
times have been exciting with lots of movement from my little baby!!
the moves are getting more frequent and stronger, with strong pulses felt especially at night when kenneth tells the bedtime story.
in fact recently it's become more exciting because baby appears to be RESPONDING to kenneth's questions and comments!!!
it's amazing to just see that God has breathed LIFE into the baby inside me.
am anxiously counting down the last 10-15 weeks of pregnancy in the meantime.. and starting to finally stock up baby stuff.
clearly i was ignorant last time. because besides the pram and the cot, there are more than a dozen things to stock up, like diapers, milk bottles, storage bottles, cleaning accessories, breastmilk pump, accessories together with the pump, thermometer, nail clipper, clothes (day/night/ cardi), mittens, towels, wraps and the list goes on.
quite overwhelmed initially.. now it's becoming exciting just stacking up stuff and clearing a cupboard just for him!! i havent got down to decorating the room for him cos i dont really think that's necessary.. but who knows, maybe i'll change my mind soon? haha.
counting down is fun. but in the meantime let me try to get a good night's rest.. before the wailing comes.

19 weeks!
Yeah I'm almost at the half way mark!!!
It's quite exciting as I think about what will happen in the next 4 months.
In fact it has always been exciting.
At 6 weeks he was just a blob - like literally just a spot.
At 10 weeks he was a tiny 4cm and kicking away when we saw the ultrasound graphics. The heartbeat was very clear this time and pumping real excitedly.
Then he went with me to Israel for 10days.
Then at 14 weeks he was 10cm!! And moving arms and legs this time as we witnessed his growth. Took the blood test at this stage too. The normal one I mean. Kenneth & I decided not to go for the triple blood test, which will indicate any likely deformities with our baby. We decided bravely and prayerfully that the baby will be ours regardless of the state. The baby was confirmed to be a boy and this time we could also see his legs, toes, hands, fingers and the spine.
At 19 weeks + 1 day (yesterday, also kenneth's 30th birthday), there was a more detailed measurement of the size of his head, length of his arms and legs. And that result was compared against national average just to track his growth. Head and arms were average, but legs were on the long side (like kenneth's!). That was quite exciting to know :)) And once again we could see every part of him, this time even his heart! Like the 4 ventricles in the heart! The fingers and spine were much clearer now and snapped into the pics too!
I'm really excited as the baby grows. And thank God mother & baby have been well. OK, except that I'm not supposed to put on so much weight. To date I've put on about 5kg.. which the doc thinks it's a wee bit too much. Sigh.

Baby in me!
14+ weeks pregnant now and I can't believe it!
I'm going to be a mum by Christmas this year (God willing of course)!!!!!
It's a great feeling to be honest, besides the fatigue, aches and effects of raging hormones.
Thankfully morning sickness hasnt been a problem for me.
And oh, it's a boy. Since I don't have a brother, I think this will be quite a an experience.
And what's more, my niece/ nephew will be born around the same time too. I wonder how the 2 cousins will get along in future.
The east meets the west.
